It’s a great way to introduce your friends to karate and give them the opportunity to give it a try for a month. Save the date!

Scott Halsey’s Karate Championships will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Shasta High School Gymnasium, 2500 Eureka Way in Redding, California. Registration begins at 9:00 A.M. and competition starts at 10:00 A.M. Competitors may enter up to four events for $45 (cash or check only). Spectator admission is $5, and children 10 and under are free. Events include Traditional Forms, Open/Musical Forms, Weapons, and Fighting, with division breakdowns determined at the event. Special awards include the Junior Grand Champion Samurai Sword Set, and all awards are sponsored by Mark Pierce, M.D.

Join Bennati's for an in-house practice tournament showcasing Kata and the Swords/Shields game! This event will be hosted in-house at our Auburn Dojo. A $30 registration fee covers both events. All ages and ranks are welcome and encouraged to participate! The tournament starts promptly at 11 am, kicking off with the Tiny Tigers (ages 4-5).

The Gold Rush Invitational Karate Tournament is a premier martial arts event exclusive to Northern California, hosted at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. Open to all ages and all ranks, this invitational brings together competitors from across the region for a high-energy day of Kata, Kumite, Continuous, and Weapons competition in a professional tournament setting.
Check-in begins at 10:00 AM, staging at 10:30 AM, and competition starts at 11:00 AM. Registration is $80 and includes all events, with a limited early-bird rate of $70 available through February 5. Spectator admission is $10. Registration closes on March 5, and no same-day registration will be accepted.
